Bio-WISE

Bio-WISE (Biometric recognition with integrated pad: simulation environment) provides a simulator, proposed by Micheletto et al.¹, which allows investigating the
performance of both a matcher and a PAD, separately and then sequentially fused into the selected scenario.
It takes as input the individual ROCs of the matcher and the PAD and provides the ROC of their fusion according to two parameters:
• The prior probability of being attacked by spoofs w
• The specific operational point chosen for the PAD, set by APCER ≤ p% or BPCER ≤ p%

Select a csv file, in one of the following settings:

• The matcher's ROC, in terms of FMR on the first row (e.g., 1, 0.9, 0.8, 0) and FNMR on the second row (e.g., 0, 0.2, 0.5, 1)

• Optionally, a further line related to the IAPMR values, for analyzing the proportion of presentation attacks in which the target reference is matched.

• Finally, on the following two lines, the csv file can also contain the list of APCER and BPCER values related to the liveness detection, for allowing the simulator to analyze both liveness detection and fusion performance.

• The scores related to the verified identity on the first row (e.g., 0.9, 0.2, 0, 1)

• The values of truthfulness of identity on the second row (e.g., 1, 0, 1, 1), in the same order

Optionally, the following two lines can also contain the list of liveness scores and the values of truthfulness of liveness, in the same order.
